I took the train to work this morning. I was seated at the 2nd seat from the corner. The corner seat was taken up by a chap who had dozed off. It was the only vacant seat at the cabin so I took it. This chap dropped off at Aljunied station, awakened by his handphone ring tong, jumped off from his seat and rushed through the sliding door before it shuted on him. It happened so fast and in the next moment, a muslim lady took the seat. At the corner of my eyes, I could see that she was chanting away. My imagination went wild....could she be the.....suicide bomber?? 15mins ago, I heard the announcement to be awared of suspicious people... I turned my newspaper towards her direction and stole a glance at her. I made a sound by pretending to clear my throat and see if it startled her..but she was not startled. She looked around her lifelessly and started chanting again. I observed her look and looked at her belonging. She was carrying a big black plastic bag and I saw some clothes inside. I saw that she is quite plump at the waist level and suspected that she might be attaching the bomb at the waist. I imagined things happened and surviving passengers will interviewed by the reporter. They reported that a lady(that was me) shouted, "Stop this lady! She is the bomb suisaider!" But it was too late...together with the suicide bomber and the rest of the passengers in that cabin...we were all sacrificed...
Coming back to reality, I would lodge a complaint to the MRT authority! No one is allowed to chant in the train. They can pray quietly in their heart but no chanting movement with their mouth. It really looks like the suicide bomber chants a prayer and ignites the bomb and kills all on board. It is a scare for me this morning and I deem it not necessary for me to go through. Could someone write in to the forum on my behalf? I don't want to appear paranoid!!
